Pittsburgh Nation's Best Place To Celebrate Easter: Study

PITTSBURGH, PA — It's not just because the city is having a helicopter Easter egg drop this year. For a number of reasons, Pittsburgh is the nation's best place to celebrate Easter in 2023, according to a study by personal finance website WalletHub.

• To determine the best cities for celebrating Easter, WalletHub compared the 100 most populated cities across four key metrics:

• Easter observers: Share of Christian population, churches per capita.

• Easter traditions: Google search interest for "Easter Celebration," "Easter Sunday," "Easter egg Hunt," "Easter Activities," and Easter Dinner"; brunch restaurants per capita; cost or restaurant meal; flower and gift shops per capita.

• Kids Easter: Share of children aged 9 or younger; acres of parkland per capita.

• Easter weather: Difference between forecasted and normal temperatures on Easter. For this metric a city was penalized if its forecasted temperature on Easter is colder than the holiday's average temperature.
