Pittsburgh Native Lands Local Broadcasting Job
A Pittsburgh native is coming back to town to be a news anchor and investigative reporter for a local TV station.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Jatara McGee is coming home. The 2011 Shady Side Academy graduate is returning to Pittsburgh as a WPXI-TV newscaster.
"Honored to join WPXI as an anchor/investigative reporter," she posted on social media. "It's a dream come true and an answered prayer. The former intern in me is beaming with joy and so proud of the journey to this point."
McGee previously was an invesitgative reporter for WLWT-TV in Cincinnati. The University of Maryland graduate also spent three years as a multimedia journalist at WSAZ-TV in Charleston, WV.
