Pittsburgh Native Michael Keaton Could Reprise Batman Role

The Kennedy Township native is in talks to play Batman again.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Pittsburgh native Michael Keaton is in talks to reprise one of his most famous roles: Batman. According to multiple reports, Keaton, who grew up in Kennedy Township, is in talks to play the Caped Crusader in the upcoming Warner Brothers movie "The Flash" starring Ezra Miller.

Keaton played the titular role in Tim Burton's "Batman" in 1989 and returned for the 1992 sequel "Batman Returns."

Keaton, 68, attended Montour High School. He's known for his roles in such films as "Night Shift," "Mr. Mom," and "Beetlejuice." He won a Golden Globe for best actor in 2014 for the movie "Birdman."
