A new study by financial analytics website WalletHub validates those suspicions. Pittsburgh is ranked fourth among the nation's best places for Christmas. Only Seattle, Atlanta and Las Vegas (Las Vegas?) outranked us.
Pittsburgh was among 100 cities WalletHub analyzed for the study, which measured metropolitan areas in 32 different Christmas-related areas.

According to WalletHub, typical Christmas activities include shopping, dining out and attending holiday events, so having such options readily available can boost a city's standing. Many people also are likely to attend church services, so cities with a large number of them had their scores boosted.
Pittsburgh ranked third in service observances, sixth in charitable generosity, 13th in shopping habits and 27th in traditions and fun, according to WalletHub.
