Pittsburgh Piergoi Festival Cancelled

The festival, which attracts thousands to Kennywood each year, has been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pittsburgh Pierogi Festival at Kennywood has been shelved this year because of the coronavirus outbreak.

"We'll see you in 2021," festival officials announced on Facebook.

"Your safety and the safety of our team is our main priority, in good times and strange times. We have explored every way possible to bring the Pittsburgh Pierogi Festival to you safely in 2020 and, unfortunately, we don't feel there is a way to do that without putting our friends, fans, and fam at risk. We are officially canceling this year's Festival.

"We'll be back in 2021 with our Kennywood family and we wish everyone a safe rest of 2020- hopefully filled with lots of pierogies at home."

Full refunds will be issued to all ticket buyers via Showclix in 5-7 business days.
