Pittsburgh Police K-9 Dog Dies Unexpectedly
Mixo had been with the force for eight years.
PITTSBURGH, PA - The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police is mourning the abrupt death of a member of its K-9 unit. K-9 Mixo "passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from health complications Tuesday afternoon," the bureau announced on Twitter.
According to the bureau website, Mixo joined the force in 2009 and handled patrol and drug duties.
No other information regarding the dog's passing was immediately available.
