Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Staff Dwindling, Layoffs Pending
The job cuts will occur when the Post-Gazette reduces its print edition to just three days per week.

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette plans to cut more than 30 delivery positions when the newspaper cuts back its print edition to three days a week. Union officials told WESA radio that about half of the 61 remaining delivery drivers will lose their health care benefits because they will be working fewer than 30 hours per week.
WESA also reported that 14 journalists have left the newspaper since June. They includeLiz Behrman , Dave Bennett, Mike Bodura, RebeccaDroke, Chris Huffaker, Jim Iovino, L.A. Johnson, Trevor Lenzmeier,Courtney Linder, Dave Molinari, Patrice Noel, Gary Rotstein, Joe Smydo
and Sarah Spencer.

Beginning Oct. 1, the Post-Gazette will print only on Sunday, Thursday and Friday.
