Pittsburgh Radio: Big Changes Likely Coming For 2 Stations
Financial difficulties are plaguing two Pittsburgh radio stations, according to a published report.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Staffing reductions and programming changes could be in store for two Pittsburgh radio stations.
Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation, which owns local NPR affiliate WESA-FM and WYEP-FM, plans to offer employee buyouts, TribLive reported.
PCBC president Terry O'Reilly noted in a recent letter to station members that costs to run radio stations are "growing at an alarming rate."

The letter apparently did not indicate whether Pittsburgh would be left without an NPR presence.
