Pittsburgh Ranked Nation's Second-Best City For Millennials

Growella report recommends millennials should move here for career, life satisfaction.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Millennials looking for a city in which they can be successful should pack their bags and move to Pittsburgh. A new study has concluded it’s the nation’s second-best city for them to live.

Only Durham, North Carolina, ranked higher in the the report by Growella, a media site providing millennials with money, career and lifestyle guidance. Growella mined more than 70 public sources to compile the data resulting in the rankings.

Factors considered in determining the rankings included a city’s number of entry-level jobs, how much time people there spend commuting, the quality of its public transportation system, how many other millennials live there, its recreational options and its relative income earning potential.

Growella’s “Where Should I Move? – A Guide For Millennials” gave Pittsburgh an A grade in those factors and ranked it the top city in the northeast. The overall top 10 cities:

2. Pittsburgh
3. Nashville, TN
4. Des Moines, IA
5.Charlotte, NC
6. Syracuse, NY
7. Columbus, OH
8. Austin, TX
9. Greenville, SC
10. Houston TX
