Pittsburgh Restaurant Robbed At Gunpoint
The incident occurred a short time after a carjacking was reported nearby, police said.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday night at the Chipotle restaurant at the Waterworks Mall.
A man entered the restaurant and put a gun to a female employee's face while demanding all cash from the register. He took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing.
The incident occurred shortly after an armed carjacking at around 9:45 p.m. in the parking garage of the Whole Foods grocery in East Liberty. A man was sitting in his vehicle when a male opened the driver's side door, pointed a gun at him and then forced him out of the vehicle.

The carjacker threw the victim's cell phone away before fleeing in the white Audi station wagon.
No injuries were reported in either incident.

Police will review all available surveillance videos in both crimes. It is not yet confirmed whether the two incidents are connected.
