Patch is tracking what the National Weather Service says is a potential for severe weather in the region on Wednesday.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The National Weather Service says there is the potential for strong to severe storms to develop in Western Pennsylvania this evening.
The main severe threat will be damaging wind gusts. These storms may also produce heavy downpours that could result in localized flooding.
Large hail and isolated tornadoes also are possible, according to the weather service.

A chance of storms will exist on Friday and Saturday as well before the weather pattern calms down on Sunday.
