Pittsburgh Tornado Threat Returns

After a weekend of violent storms, the tornado threat returns on Monday.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The National Weather Service says tornadoes are possible yet again in the Pittsburgh area on Monday.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected later today and tonight. Isolated severe storms are possible, with damaging wind the main hazard. The tornado potential also exists.

In addition to the severe weather possibility, locally heavy rain could lead to an isolated flash flood potential, especially for areas that see repeated thunderstorms.
