Pittsburgh TV Station Filling News Anchor Vacancy

PITTSBURGH, PA — KDKA-TV will have a new weekend news anchor next month. Megan Shinn will join the station next month, arriving from WRTV-TV in Indianapolis. She joined that station in 2020 as a news anchor.
Shinn begins her new duties on Dec. 28. She will replace Brianna Smith, who left KDKA in May for a reporting position.
According to Shinn's biography on the WRTV website, she also has worked as a reporter at the ABC affiliate in Norfolk, VA and as a weekend anchor, weather forecaster and weekday reporter at KMTR-TV in Eugene, OR.

The Iowa native, who was raised in Denver, has a television broadcast journalism degree from Chapman University in Orange, CA.
