Storms potentially could develop during the afternoon to evening hours. The main threat will be possible damaging wind gusts.

The Air Quality Index for Pittsburgh as of Friday morning was 191. While that is lower than the 230-plus range experienced on Thursday, it's still very unhealthy.
A healthy index level is less than 100.

The state Department of Environmental Protection has Western Pennsylvania under a Code Orange air alert for Friday.
