The National Weather Service says to expect accumulating snow today in Pittsburgh and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Pittsburgh and southwestern Pennsylvania until 7 p.m. on Sunday. Expect two to four inches of accumulating snow.

Snow is expected to begin north of the city before 10 a.m. Pittsburgh and areas south and east of the city should see snow between noon and 2 p.m.

The weather service says the snow will be generally light, with periods of heavier snow throughout the day. Roads are cold, so they will quickly become snow covered.
