Pittsburgh Warm Spell: How Long It Will Last

It's warmer than it should be in Pittsburgh in January. How long before temperatures revert back to normal?

Temperatures are well above normal for January in Pittsburgh. The average high is 36. The expected high today is 52, according to the National Weather Service.

Although rain is expected for the next several days, the warm temperatures will remain. The anticipated high on Thursday is 57, with temperatures climbing to 56 on Friday.

Things go a bit downhill a bit after that, but not by much. The high on Saturday will be near 50, and the high on Sunday will be in the mid-40s.

Typical January temperatures will return Monday, with an anticipated high in the upper 3os. However, State College-based AccuWeather is forecasting temperatures to return to the mid- and upper 50s by the middle of next week.
