Pittsburgh Winter Weather Advisory Issued
The Pittsburgh area likely will receive its first significant snow accumulation of the winter.
PITTSBURGH, PA — This winter's lack of snow is about to end. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Pittsburgh area from 3 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
Expect two to four inches of snow. Winds will gust as high as 40 mph.
State College-based AccuWeather is predicting more minor accumulations of one to three inches. The Weather Channel forecasts two inches.

On Wednesday, the weather service is advising that snow showers and sleet will occur before the precipitation changes to rain. Tomorrow's high will be in the lower 40s. Wind gusts will be as high as 26 mph.
The weather service says to plan on slippery road conditions during the Wednesday morning commute.
