Pittsburgh's 4th of July Forecast: Pack An Umbrella For The Fireworks
Early predictions call for a chance of showers and storms.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Atmospheric conditions could change between now and Tuesday. But for now, it appears you could get wet while grilling burgers or watching fireworks on Independence Day.
The National Weather Service calls for a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on July 4. The high temperature will be 81.

Precipitation has fallen on three of the past 10 of them, according to Weather Underground. Just last year, about a quarter-inch of rain fell. The wettest Independence Day of the past decade occurred in 2012, when 1.36 inches of rain fell.
But that’s nothing compared to the wettest July 4 on record. That occurred in 1878, when a whopping Pittsburgh received 2.8 inches of rain.
