Pittsburgh's Mineo's Rated Pennsylvania's Best Pizza
Mineo's also mentioned among the nation's top 26 pies, Tasting Table says. What do you think?

ITTSBURGH, PA - Mineo’s Pizza, a Pittsburgh staple for nearly 60 years, is Pennsylvania’s best pizza and among the top 26 pies in the nation. So says Tasting Table, a website for culinary enthusiasts.
It’s yet another accolade for the acclaimed pizza house, which opened in Squirrel Hill in 1958 and has another location in Mt. Lebanon. Mineo’s pies are so popular there’s a link on its website for them to be shipped overnight to any place in the country.
“Pittsburgh is an underrated, great pizza town, and this old-school favorite is one of the best,” Tasting Table raved. “ The family recipe comes with a generous grating of cheese, crispy crust and Italian tomato-based sauce, and gives Aiello's, the longstanding rival favorite in town, a run for its money.”

Aiello’s is located just several storefronts away from Mineo’s in Squirrel Hill. Debate has raged for decades over which place serves the best pizza, and those discussions often are as heated as the pies pulled from their ovens.
Mineo’s is joined in the national rankings by such storied pizzerias as Joe’s in New York City, Porta in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Lou Malnati’s in Chicago and Matchbox in Washington, D.C.
