The station is bringing back the iconic Pittsburgh program for a limited run. Get the details here.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Nearly 40 years after the program went off the air, WPXI-TV is reviving the classic horror and science fiction movie show "Chiller Theater."

The program returns Saturday at 11:30 for an eight-week run on WPXI and its sister station PCNC, the station announced Monday. It will be hosted by station meteorologist Scott Harbaugh.

The original "Chiller Theater" ran on WPXI (formerly WIIC-TV) from 1963 to 1984. Hosted by the late Bill "Chilly Billy" Cardille, the show consisted of campy sketches and old movies. In a castle set, Cardille presided over a cast of zany characters that included Norman the Castle Keeper, Terminal Stare, Stefan the Castle Prankster, Sister Susie and Georgette the fudge maker.

WPXI has yet to announce what movies will be shown during the revival's run.
