PNC Park, Acrisure Stadium Getting Major Upgrades

Significant improvements are being made to the homes of the Pirates and Steelers.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Significant upgrades are coming to PNC Park and Acrisure Stadium.

The Pirates released a video Monday of panels of a new scoreboard being put in place. The installation is expected to be completed in time for the Pirates April 7 home opener against the Chicago White Sox.

The new scoreboard will be considerably larger than the old one and will have a video screen.

The Pirates also are spending millions to expand the stadium merchandise store and make concession stand improvements.

At Acrisure Stadium, $1.4 million is being spent to upgrade the facility's restrooms, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reported. The most significant change will be the replacement of troughs with urinals in the upper level men's rooms.
