Pittsburgh Police Rescue Toddler Walking Alone Outside Overnight
A child was found wandering alone in a Pittsburgh neighborhood early Thursday, police said.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A girl approximately three years old was rescued by police early Thursday after being spotted walking alone in the city's Duquesne Heights neighborhood.
Pittsburgh police received a 911 call at about 4 a.m. about the toddler wandering alone. The child was discovered at around 4:50 a.m. in the 100 block of Oneida Street.
The toddler was wearing a T-shirt. It's unknown how long she was exposed to the elements.

Pittsburgh EMS responded to the scene to evaluate the child for cold exposure and vomiting. She was transported to the hospital with hypothermia in serious, but stable condition.
The girl was alert and speaking later at the hospital.

Police are searching for the parents or guardians. The investigation is ongoing.
