Popular KDKA -TV Reporter-Anchor Lands New Job
She's leaving to help reboot a once-popular cable TV channel.

PITTSBURGH, PA - KDKA-TV legal editor Julie Grant is leaving the station to join the soon-to-be relaunched crime and trial based Court TV channel.
Grant will join original Court TV alum Vinnie Politan and Seema Ilyer of HLN’s “Crime & Justice,” as anchors for the channel, which returns in May.
The original Court TV ran on cable TV from 1991 until 2008 when it was acquired by Time Warner and rebranded TruTV.
“My friends, this is a dream come true for me,” Grant said in announcing the impending move on Facebook, “I’m so grateful for this exciting opportunity to combine my passions.”

Grant has spent her career juggling journalism and legal jobs. She has worked as an anchor-reporter at WGHP in Greensboro, NC and WTOV in Steubenville, OH. She also served as an Allegheny County assistant district attorney for nearly four years.
A Steubenville native, Grant is a graduate of Mount Union College, the University of Akron School of Law and Temple University School of Law.
