Popular North Shore Tavern Expected To Close
If you want to get a last drink or meal at this venue, you better go soon.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Rivertowne Brewery’s North Shore restaurant and bar, a staple for sports fans and office workers for nearly a decade, is expected to close at the end of the month.
A Rivertowne attorney revealed the tavern’s likely fate in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Triblive reported. There was no interest in the bar at a recent bankruptcy auction and Rivertowne can’t meet the terms of its lease.
Helltown Brewing Co., of Mt. Pleasant, Westmorland County, is finalizing its bankruptcy purchase of Rivertowne’s brewery in Export and its restaurants in Monroeville and Verona. Helltown also is in discussion to buy Rivertowne’s North Huntingdon location, but apparently is not interested in the North Shore bar.
