Popular Oakland Restaurant Closing

The award-winning restaurant has been a staple in Oakland for nearly a decade.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Legume restaurant in Oakland will close at the end of February, but the space won't be vacant for long. Legume and Butterjoint, its adjacent bar, will reopen sometime in March as Butterjoint All Day.

Pittsburgh Magazine reported that Butterjoint All Day will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, incorporating some of Legume's gourmet fare with some of Butterjoint's more casual offerings. Co-owner Trevett Hooper said the rebranded space on North Craig Street will have a bistro feel.

Legume first opened in Regent Square in 2007 before it moved to its current location in 2011. According to its website, Legume was a 2018 James Beard semifinalist in the outstanding restaurant category.
