Popular Pittsburgh Barbecue Restaurant Hit With Consumer Alert
A recent inspection turned up numerous violations. Some were minor. Others were not.

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for the Spork Pit barbecue restaurant in Garfield for numerous health code violations.
A recent inspection found modified atmosphere packaging without written permission, lack of effective pest control measures, unsafe procedures for reheating previously cooked food, unsafe hot food holding temperature and failure to use a product thermometer to assure proper food storage temperature.
