Popular Pittsburgh Eatery Slapped With Consumer Alert

PITTSBURGH , PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for Christo's Mediterranean Grille on Sixth Street in Downtown Pittsburgh.

An inspector on Friday found large amounts of live German roaches present on sticky traps and on the floor in the restaurant's kitchen.

Mice droppings were found in the corners of the server area.

In kitchen walk-in cooler, blocks of feta cheese, raw salmon, and cooked chicken were stored at high and unsafe temperatures.

The restaurant remains open while the alert is in place.
