PITTSBURGH, PA — KDKA-AM morning show co-host Marty Griffin is off the air while recovering from pneumonia, according to his wife, KDKA-TV anchor woman Kristine Sorensen.

Griffin, who hosts the KDKA morning show with Larry Richert, has battled throat cancer in the past.

Sorensen told KDKA-AM that it could take Griffin as many as six weeks to recover from the pneumonia.

Sorensen said Griffin is having difficulty eating and only able to consume soft foods. He also is fatigued and weak, she said.
