Popular Pittsburgh Radio Personality Leaving Station
A veteran morning show host is moving on from the job.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Stoney Richards, WDSY-FM "Y'd Awake" morning show host is leaving the station effect Friday to concentrate on his acting career.
Richards confirmed his impending departure to Country Insider, telling the website, "I leave Y-108 in great shape, the number one country station in town."
According to Richards' website, he acts under his real name - Charles David Richards - and has worked in feature films, TV and theatrical productions.

Richards initially worked at the country station from 1998 until 2014. He returned as the full-time morning show host in 2019.
