Popular Pittsburgh Restaurant Closing

A restaurant in one of Pittsburgh's busiest neighborhoods is closing. Get the details here.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Fat Cat, which opened to extreme extreme expectations on the city's North Side last year, will close at the end of the week. The last day of business will be March 30.

The restaurant and lounge on East Ohio Street announced the move on social media.

"Thanks you to all of the staff, family, neighbors and friends, artists and performers who helped built the Fat Cat culture," the restaurant's Facebook post stated. "All of your hard work and determination has made tremendous strides to continue to promote the North Side.

The restaurant owner is Cory Hughes, who has worked at establishments such as Café at the Frick, Spoon, Eleven, Six Penn, Google and Steelers training camp.
