South Side Restaurant Going Out Of Business
The restaurant has gone under after nearly a decade in business.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Bd's Mongolian Grill in the SouthSide Works is now closed for good. Its franchise owner has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation, the Pittsburgh Business Times reported.
The restaurant's Facebook page lists the stir-fry eatery as permanently closed.
Business had declined at the restaurant after the Allegheny County Health Department issued a consumer alert in 2018 for pest management and other issues.

Inspectors found mouse droppings "too numerous to count" in all areas of the popular eatery - including the dish room, food storage and food prep areas, customer areas, restrooms and closets. A recently deceased mouse was observed in a trap behind canned goods. An older, decaying mouse was observed on a glue trap and mouse droppings were present inside chemical boxes near an
office.
Additionally, inspectors noted the restaurant had an ongoing house fly and small fly infestation. Swarms of both types of flies were observed in a back kitchen area, bar and dish area. Food
debris on floors, pools of leaking liquids at the bar contributed to the problem, inspectors noted.
