Portion Of Parkway East Closing Due To Flooding
This afternoon's rush hour could be brutal.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Just in time for the afternoon rush hour, a portion of the westbound Parkway East is about to close because of flooding.
The so-called ‘bathtub” portion of the Parkway between Grant Street and the Fort Pitt Bridge, Downtown, is slated to be closed around 4:30 p.m. But PennDOT cautioned the closure could occur earlier if water levels rise more quickly than anticipated.
Inbound traffic will be detoured to the Grant Street (Exit 71A) off-ramp. Motorists then will turn left onto Fort Pitt Boulevard before bearing left onto the westbound ramp toward the Fort Pitt Bridge/Airport.
