Prominent Pittsburgh Radio Personality Lands Local TV Job

You're used to hearing her radio voice. Now you'll see her on a Pittsburgh TV station.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Shelby Cassessee, a familiar voice to listeners of KDKA-AM radio and 93.7 The Fan, is expanding her presence in Pittsburgh media with a TV job. Cassessee announced on social media that she had joined the WPXI-TV sports team as a freelancer.

"I'm so excited," she said in a Facebook post. "You'll see me helping out and filling in when needed. Glad to be working along friends and mentors in the industry."

For the past two years, Cassessee has worked for Audacy's KDKA and 93.7 The Fan. She has reporting and other duties at KDKA and is a fill-in sports talk host on The Fan. She will remain at both stations while freelancing for WPXI.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Cassessee holds a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from Duquesne University and a master's degree in digital marketing from the University of Pittsburgh.
