Rolling Stones Partner With Pittsburgh Pirates, Major League Baseball
The Stones released their new album "Hackney Diamonds" on Friday. In doing so, they have teamed with those who play on the baseball diamond.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Friday brought the release of "Hackney Diamonds," the first Rolling Stones album of all-new material since 2005. With it came an unusual promotion: Limited-edition vinyl copies of the album that should appeal to baseball fans.
The Stones and Major League Baseball are releasing limited vinyl editions of the album colored in baseball white and housed in a sleeve that features custom art for each of MLB's 30 teams. The front of the cover displays the band’s iconic tongue and lips logo in colors matching each team, and the logo's tongue has been designed to look like a baseball.
You're probably curious as to what the $38 vinyl album looks like exactly. Well, here it is.
