Ross Man Pleads Guilty To Teen Sex Sting Charge

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - A Ross man faces a potential life sentence in prison after pleading guilty in federal court to a charge of attempted coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity. Thomas Perry Stultz, 37, entered the plea before U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab.

According to U.S. Attorney Scott Brady's office, between February and early April, using the Internet and a cell phone, Stultz communicated with an undercover agent he believed to be a 14-year-old boy and attempted to arrange a sexual encounter with him.

Stultz attempted several meetings with the purported minor that fell through and each time initiated further contact with the undercover agent. During one communication, Stultz texted: "This isn't pretend at all. I'm actually very interested in meeting you."

Stultz was arrested April 5 after he planning to take the purported minor back to his residence and showing up at a predetermined meeting location.

In addition to the potential life sentence, Stultz faces a fine of as much as $250,000. His bond was revoked pending his sentencing, which is scheduled for March.
