Ross Park Mall Expanding, Century III Closed & More: Weekly Wrap

The week's top news, presented as always in convenient linkable form.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Other malls in Pittsburgh have to be jealous of Ross Park Mall. It already has the region’s only Nordstrom, Tiffany and L.L. Bean stores and has become the mall of choice of discriminating southwestern Pennsylvania shoppers.

Now comes word that the mall is planning a major expansion that will include a new theater, fitness facility and new retail and restaurants. Also planned are a three-story addition and a two-story stand-alone retail building under a massive redevelopment proposal centered around the former Sears store.

The plans will be detailed at Monday’s Ross commissioners’ meeting.
