School Bus Driver Fired After Driving Through Floodwaters
The driver drove through flooded waters during Thursday's storms.
PITTSBURGH, PA - A school bus driver in the Shaler Area School District has been fired after a video surfaced of the bus driving through floodwaters during Thursday's storms. The driver worked for ABC Transit, which issued the following statement:
"The safety and security of all students transported by ABC Transit Inc. is our top priority. Company policy does not permit school vehicles to drive through water over roadways at any time. After investigation and review of yesterday's incident on Seavey Road that violated this company policy, the school bus driver no longer works for ABC Transit Inc."
The dismissed employee was not identified.
