Second City Tops Five Weekend Things To Do Around Pittsburgh
The nation's best performers of cabaret comedy bring their Summer Blockbuster to the Public Theater.

PITTSBURGH, PA — If you have an appetite for comedy on stage, it's hard to find anyone better at it than Second City. The comedy troupe from Chicago is bringing its Summer Blockbuster to the Public Theater for three shows only this weekend.
Through the years, Second City has become a launching pad for the biggest names in comedy — Tina Fey, Bill Murray, Keegan-Michael Key and many others. This year's troupe will bring zany songs, comic sketches and other hilarity to Pittsburgh; you can expect a few mentions of President Trump.
Showtimes are 8 p.m. Friday, and at 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday. The Public Theater is part of the O'Reilly Theater, 621 Penn Ave.

- Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Indianapolis Colts, Aug. 26, 7:30 p.m., Heinz Field
If you're a big sports fan, and you can't get pay-per-view tickets to see the Mayweather-McGregor fight on Saturday night, this preseason game could be your last chance to see the Steelers play live, in person this year (unless, of course, you have season tickets). The black-and-gold gang won't be back in town until Sunday, Sept. 17, for the regular season home opener against the Minnesota Vikings.
Tickets to see the Steelers are available starting at $20.
- 2017 Rhythm and Brews Craft Beer & Music Festival, Aug. 26, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., 2447 Tilbrook Road, Monroeville
The third annual festival features live music, craft beers from more than a dozen local breweries, games and food vendors. It's a great way to wind down the summer. The event is for all ages, so bring the family.
General admission tickets are $10.
- Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival, Aug. 26-27, 10:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., 112 Renaissance Lane, West Newton
The Renaissance Fair continues its run Saturday and Sunday as knights joust, artisans create original works and a cast of hundreds of merrymakers cavort. The festival will go on, rain or shine.
Adult tickets are $19.50; children ages 5-12, $9; children under 5 get in free.
- Cranberry Township Waterpark, open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day, 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., 450 N. Boundary Park Drive, Cranberry Township
Summer is coming to an end, but it's not too late to go for one last swim at a local waterpark. You can have lots of fun at the Cranberry Township Waterpark, which offers a 120-foot slide, a diving well, a tube slide and a water climbing wall.
