Second Pittsburgh TV News Anchor Gives Birth This Week

For the second time in three days, a popular Pittsburgh newswoman has had a baby.

PITTSBURGH, PA — KDKA-TV news anchor Lindsay Ward has given birth to a daughter, the station announced Tuesday.

Ward and her husband, Tony, welcomed Aurora Marie to the world on Monday. Mother and daughter are said to be doing fine.

Ward joined KDKA in April of 2019 as a reporter and now co-anchors the station's morning newscast and the CW morning news.

Ward giving birth occurred just two days after WTAE-TV news anchor Kelly Sasso and her husband became the parents of a baby boy over the weekend. Ayven Perry Sasso was born on Saturday afternoon.

Sasso co-anchors the 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscast weekdays on Pittsburgh’s Action News 4.
