Severe Storms Possible For Pittsburgh Monday

PITTSBURGH, PA — A line of showers and storms is expected to move into southwestern Pennsylvania late this morning, and the National Weather Service says a few strong to severe thunderstorms could occur.
Damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat.
Locally heavy rain also is possible, with precipitation amounts of as much as three quarters of an inch possible today. Wind gusts as high as 40 mph also are possible, raising the risk of downed tree limbs and power lines.

Today's high will be in the low 60s, but the warm spring temperatures the area experienced over the weekend will end with the passage of today's cold front. Expect high temperatures in the 40s for much of the week.
