Shooting, Stabbing Reported In Pittsburgh Area

Violence erupted in two Pittsburgh-area communities Sunday, police said.

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — County police were busy Sunday responding to a shooting in Clairton and a stabbing in Lincoln Borough.

At 7:49 p.m., county 911 was notified of the shooting in the 500 block of Elm Street in Clairton. First responders found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

At 8:50 p.m., county 911 was notified of the stabbing on Creek Street. First responders found a man who had been stabbed in the chest. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

As of Monday morning, no arrests had been made and police have not identified any suspects.
