'Silence Of The Lambs' Cage Replica To Be On Exhibit
The cage was a key component of the 1991 movie filmed here in Pittsburgh.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Here's a Halloween event you don't see every year: A replica of the famous cage from the Academy Award-winning movie "The Silence of the Lambs" will be on display where the original cage was shot when the 1991 movie was filmed in Pittsburgh: Solidiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum in Oakland.
The one-time event occurs Oct. 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The cage was created by those behind one of the Pittsburgh area's most famous haunted houses, Haunted Acres manner. Actor W. Stephen Coleman, who played Sgt. Pembry in the film, will speak at the event. Also on hand will be the move's metal fabricator, Joe Steinmetz, who will have original blueprints of the film's actual cage.
