Smashing Pumpkins To Play Pittsburgh

Three-fourths of the original lineup is reuniting for a summer tour.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Alternative rock icons Smashing Pumpkins have reunited for the first time in nearly two decades and will hit the road this summer. The band will play at PPG Paints Arena on Aug. 4.

The performance will feature three of the four original members - guitarist/singer Billy Corgan, guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin. Original bassist D’Arcy Wretzky will not be a part of the Shiny And Oh So Bright Tour.

The concerts will focus on the band’s first five albums that were radio staples of the 1990s: Gish, Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Adore and Machina/The Machines of God.
