Snow Plow Truck Strikes, Kills Pittsburgh-Area Man

NORTH VERSAILLES, Pa. —Allegheny County homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man who was struck and killed by a plow truck Wednesday while walking with a snow blower. The incident happened around 5 p.m. on Union Avenue.

The victim was identified as John Vichie, 63, of North Versailles.

According to police, the truck was backing up the street when it struck Vichie. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
