Some Allegheny County Restaurants Defy Wolf Indoor Dining Ban
Several county restaurants are offering sit-down service despite Gov. Tom Wolf's prohibition on indoor dining until early in 2021.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Several restaurants and bars in Allegheny County remain open to indoor dining in defiance of the Gov. Tom Wolf's recent mitigation orders put in place by Gov. Tom Wolf, according to a directory compiled by opponents of the shutdown.
The businesses are listed on a public Facebook group that has more than 43,000 members. They also appear in the directory at PAlockdown.com.
The eateries are ignoring Wolf's order last week prohibiting indoor dining until Jan. 4 to limit the spread of new coronavirus cases, which have surged across the state in recent weeks. Takeout and outdoor dining are still available, with many restaurants offering those options.

Among the Allegheny County establishments defying Wolf's order is Al's Cafe in Bethel Park, which isn't surprising. Over the summer, Al's owner Rod Ambrogi launched the Southwestern Pennsylvania Restaurant and Tavern Association to fight the state’s coronavirus restrictions.
Also open for indoor dining is the Crack'd Egg in Brentwood. In September, the restaurant's owners filed filed a federal lawsuit alleging that state and county coronavirus regulations are illegal. The eatery was ordered to close for seven days in August for violating state coronavirus mitigation mandates for restaurants.

In October, the restaurant filed for bankruptcy but continues to operate.
