PITTSBURGH, PA - An abandoned warehouse on the city’s South Side will be transformed into a mixed-use development that will include an upscale market, coffee shop, rooftop restaurant, bar and craft whiskey distillery.

The Pittsburgh Planning Commission has been briefed on the $4.5 million project, dubbed the Distillery at South Shore, at 129 McKean Street on the Monongahela riverfront near Station Square just west of the Liberty Bridge.

The development from 129 McKean LLC will include new sidewalks, a patio, rooftop deck and landscaping.
