South Side Project To Trigger Traffic Woes, Parking Problems
Getting around the South Side will be tricky until the streetscaping project is completed.

PITTSBURGH, PA - A $3 million South Side streetscaping project is expected to cause traffic delays and daytime parking woes on East Carson Street for the next seven months.
The city Department of Mobility and Infrastructure is sprucing up the East Caron corridor between 10th and 25th streets by adding pedestrian lighting, street trees with hanging baskets and exposed aggregate concrete sidewalks.
The work will occur on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. with construction taking place in two- to three-block areas at a time. No parking signs will be posted 24 hours in advance in the work areas and any vehicles parked in the work zones will be towed.
