PITTSBURGH, PA — SouthSide Works has opened a new public sport court consisting of an NCAA regulation basketball court and two pickleball courts.

The sport court, located at 2810 S. Water Street, will be open from dawn to dusk and is free to the public. Nets, paddles and balls can be rented from the nearby Pins Mechanical daily beginning at 4 p.m.

SouthSide Works owner and developer SomeraRoad Inc. devised the concept for the project.

“We’re constantly looking for amenities and experiences that add to the SouthSide Works community, and the Sport Court is a project that has been in our plans since the beginning,” Jonathon Reeser, partner at SouthSide Works owner and developer SomeraRoad, said in a release.

“The Pittsburgh community, and Southsiders specifically, are so active– the trails are always alive with activity and outdoor amenities like our new dog park and town square have constant foot traffic. The court will provide even more opportunities for connectivity for those that live, work, and play in our neighborhood.”
