Steelers 2024 Schedule Difficult, Includes Christmas Game

PITTSBURGH, PA — It likely will not be a holly jolly Christmas for Steelers players, coaches and fans.

The NFL released its full 2024 schedule Wednesday night, and the league has the Steelers playing all-world quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day.

The game - scheduled for 1 p.m. at Acrisure Stadium - will occur just four days after the Steelers play their archrivals, the Baltimore Ravens. Steelers-Ravens games traditionally are known for their physicality, but the Steelers will not have much time to recover before facing the Chiefs.

If that's not bad enough, the team will play its first two games on the road and won't have its home opener until the season's third week. After that, it's back on the road for Week 4.

In a scheduling oddity, the Steelers will not play any of its AFC North rivals until Week 11 and then play six of their final eight games against their division foes.
