Steelers Family Fest, Replay FX Top Pittsburgh Weekend Events

PITTSBURGH, PA - There’s no question that the abrupt cancelation of the EQT Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta has left a large void in the weekend for tens of thousands of people. But you don’t mind a bit of a drive, there is an alternative regatta in western Pennsylvania this weekend.
The Moraine State Park Regatta on Saturday and Sunday promises two days of family fun along the shore of Lake Arthur. Attractions include boating, fishing, biking, geocaching, a kids' tent, educational events, food vendors, live musical performances, a fireworks display and more.
Moraine State Park is near Portersville, Butler County, off of I-79. It is bisected by PA 422 running east/west and PA 528 running north/south.

- Friday Night Lights, Aug. 2, 12 p.m. Latrobe Memorial Stadium, Latrobe.
The Steelers hold their annual practice under the lights during the organization’s 54th training camp in Latrobe. But the fun begins at noon outside the stadium and includes photo opportunities with the six Lombardi Trophies, free games, food, entertainment and more. Gates to the stadium open at 5 p.m. and practice begins at 7 p.m. Admission to the practice is $5.
- Steelers Family Fest, Aug. 4, 4 p.m., Heinz Field.
Activities will begin on Art Rooney Avenue outside of the stadium Highlighted by another full practice under the lights, fans can meet legendary former Steelers, enjoy games and activities, win prizes and more. Stadium gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and practice will begin at 6:30 p.m.; tickets are $10.
- Florida Georgia Line, Dan + Shay and Morgan Wallen, Aug. 2, 7 p.m., KeyBank Pavilion
What a night for country music fans. Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are touring in support of their fourth studio album, “Can’t Say I Ain’t Country.” Dan + Shay, the country duo consisting of Wexford native and North Allegheny High School graduate Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, won their first Grammy Award in February. The pair took home the Best Country Duo/Group Performance award for their smash hit "Tequila" at the 61st annual Grammy Awards.
Replay FX, Aug. 1-4, David L. Lawrence Convention Center
Replay FX showcases the largest arcade in the world, featuring more than 1,000 classic arcade and pinball machines, hundreds of console systems ranging from the original Magnavox Odyssey to the XBox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and virtual reality systems, as well as PC gaming and tabletop. The arcade is managed by the Replay Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving gaming-related history and technology.
